Google Wave has revealed itself as a close relative of the Sony Betamax. I could understand the relative melancholy of Sony taking Betamax out of the market and then the relative success of the 8mm format (which is the grandfather of today's camcorders).
Where do I go with this? Wave is passing through the very same thing as Betamax: people was simply not ready for it.
Some of Google Wave basics are very well applied in Docs and it wouldn't surprise me if a major lift-up is given to Calendar.
Some people cry the closing of Wave, but if something is characteristic of Google is the fact of coming back with something really USEFUL made really EASY, collaboratively-wise talking.
Time will tell.
